Call for Student Speakers and Delegates

We invite you to join us at the Annual Meeting of Pi Mu Epsilon to be held in Providence, Rhode Island, Wednesday afternoon August 11 through Friday evening, August 13, 2004. We can fund up to $600 of transportation expenses for one student speaker from your chapter. (Some additional partial reimbursement is available if more than one student from your chapter makes a presentation.) If no one from your chapter plans on giving a paper, we can fund up to half (with a maximum of $300) of the transportation expenses for one delegate. To qualify for the reimbursement you must attend the full meeting of Pi Mu Epsilon from the PME-MAA Student Reception to the conclusion of the Frame Lecture, unless you have written consent for an exemption from the President of Pi Mu Epsilon. For a complete set of Speaker and Delegate Benefits and Responsibilities, please check our "fine print".

Talks may be on any mathematical topic or application in areas such as statistics, computing, or operations research. We do welcome topics including expository research, interesting applications, problems, etc. Presentation time is fifteen minutes.

Please see your Pi Mu Epsilon Faculty Advisor for more information.
