Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
1:
We initiated two new members at our annual spring picnic. Everyone at the picnic enjoyed playing our department's version of Math Pictionary.
2:
In honor of our newest faculty member, Mike Spivey, we had a "Meet the New Guy" night, complete with board games and snacks.
Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :
Catherine Cusimano will attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the fall.
