Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Boulder, Colorado?
No.
Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
1:
Many of the members and faculty members went white water rafting.
2:
We reinstated a formal induction ceremony (pictures attached) and had a great year with lots of student initiative. They instituted a volunteer tutoring force and designed PI MU t-shirts.
Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :
Courtney Thompson spent time at a summer math institute (at Brigham Young, I think?) and is seriously considering graduate school and a future as a professor.
