Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
1:
Students helped organize a very interesting Math Awareness Day program.
2:
The students ran a math t-shirt contest; the result was a very funny t-shirt.
Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :
Kathleen Ryan talked on her senior honors work at the
Moravian Student Conference in February.
Chris Dugan will be taking an REU this summer at
Lafayette.
Matt Zawistowski will be a graduate student in math
at Lehigh University, starting in Fall '03.
Kathleen Ryan and Matt Zawistowski attended the AMS-MAA
joint meetings in Baltimore in January; each of these
students completed a departmental honors thesis.
