Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Boulder, Colorado?

No.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1:

Integration Bee (35 participants): During each round, participants were given 3 minutes to do 2 integrals. While their answers were being scored, the participants were shown the solutions. There were 13 rounds. Thanks to the support of the math dept. and our Honors College, the top 8 participants were given gift certificates to the University Bookstore.

2:

The USC Math Dept provides free tutoring for freshman level math classes. PME members generously volunteered to supplement the tutoring lab during finals week. They covered 2 hours for 6 days during the first semester and this was so successful that they then covered 3 hours for 7 days during the second semester.
