Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1:

We brought in two speakers both of whom addressed careers in mathematics.

2:

Pi Mu Epsilon members assisted with our high school math contest.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Allison Carter presented a poster at the MAA/SIAM regional conference in Clemson.
 
Kumar Jeev presented at NCUR.
 
Jennifer Brewer and Jennifer Simpson presented at T^3 (a conference).
 
Stephen Dew was accepted to Pharmacy School (a six year program).
 
Stephen Bismarck was accepted to graduate school at Georgia.
 
Jennifer Brewer was accepted to graduate school at MIchigan State.
 
Lisa Holsinger was named outstanding graduating math major.
 
Joseph Ngwenya was named NSCAA/Adidas National Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was a second team All-American in Soccer.
 
Jennifer Brewer, Allison Carter, Lisa Holsonger, Molly Meeks, Amber Miller and Jennifer Simpson received B.S.'s in Mathematics and Stephen Bismarck received an M.A.T.
