Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Boulder, Colorado?

No.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1:

We had our annual Christmas party at Dr. Colin Starr's house. Most in attendance brought a dish to share, and we had our usual White Elephant gift exchange.

2:

In the spring, we held our Spring Picnic with our 2nd annual talent show at Mr. Julius Burkett's house. Many people shared musical talents including voice, violin, clever stringed instrument arrangements and saxophone. One student "dropped trou", taking off her pants and putting them on again wrong-side-out, with her feet tied together. (She was appropriately dressed underneath, of course!)

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Sarah Horton and Stephanie Capasso attended the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics in February of 2003.

We had five students give talks at the meeting of the Texas Section of the MAA in Huntsville, Texas.
