Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Providence, Rhode Island?

One of our student members, Nicholas Biller, is planning to present at MathFest in Providence.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Our most interesting (and only) activity this year was our Pi Mu Epsilon Induction/Freedman Award Ceremony, where we recognized the mathematical achievement of 14 of our students, one of whom, Radoslav Kirov, received our Freedman Award for Mathematical Promise and gave a talk about his recent research in number theory.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Two of our graduating seniors, Radoslav Kirov and Kenneth Carrick, were awarded the Benedict Freedman Senior Prize in Mathematics, a departmental honor.

Of our seniors, four are bound for graduate school in the fall: Radoslav Kirov (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne, PhD in Math), Lionel Tan (Undecided, Computer Science), and Kristina Becht (NYU or Columbia, Masters in Education), Kenneth Carrick (NYU, Masters in Math).
