Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Providence, Rhode Island?

One graduating senior plans to submit a paper.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

The annual Pi Mu Epsilon lecture was given by Prof. Eric Egge from Gettysburg College. He spoke on "Mathematical Teflon: How Mathematics Makes Music Scratch-Resistant" at the annual induction ceremony in April.

The first Pi Mu Epsilon book awards were given to two graduating seniors, Nathan Eddington and Erin Cullison, thanks to a Pi Mu Epsilon Chapter Grant.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Senior Erin Cullison was accepted to graduate school in an interdisciplinary science program at the University of Delaware.

Former graduate Amanda Tracey has completed a master's degree in Operations Research while working for the Army.

Former graduate Jennifer Webb is in a graduate program in computer science at American University.
