Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
The main event of the year was the annual dinner and induction ceremony on April 29, 2004 at which eight new members were inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon. We were delighted to have Elena Daquesian Meltzer, one of the charter student members of our chapter, join us and speak about the founding of the mathematics club.
At a joint meeting with Mercy College's Computer Club, Bozena Kaszczak, a mathematics major and new inductee, spoke on "Complexity of Modern Mathematics - a Choice or a Necessity?" and Cesar Calderon, a computer major and new inductee, spoke on "Web Site Design."
