Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Co-sponsored (with Math Club) two talks on opportunities for doing undergraduate research at RIT.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Abbie Stokes-Riner has been accepted to the Ph.D. program in BioStatistics at the University of Rochester. She was also elected to membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda national honor society.

Victor Kostyuk and Victoria Shults were named Outstanding Undergraduate Scholars at RIT-the highest honor the insititute bestows on students. Victor just completed a year and a half of study in mathematics in Hungary.

Wanda Strychalski completed her first year in a Ph.D. program in Applied Mathematics at the University of North Carolina.
