Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Providence, Rhode Island?
Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
Students helped organize a very successful Math Awareness Day(April 2). It included several good student presentations,a guest lecture on the mathematics of juggling (GregWarrington of Penn), several exhibits involving perspective, andseveral math activities (eg hexaflexagons). Lunchand tea were served.
The induction (set for Apr. 30) will include a lectureon the mathematics of mirrors (Andy Hicks of Drexel).
