Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

No.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

We held our inititiation ceremony together with the Mathematics Department's annual Awards Day. The new PME members and the others in the audience enjoyed an interesting lecture by Dr. Allison Pacelli of Williams College entitled "Democracy in Action: Your Vote Doesn't Matter, But You Can Still Get Your Way".

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Carly Williams (2004) is spending the semester doing Study Abroad in Paris. Michael Nehring (2005) was unable to be at the ceremony since he is finishing his second major, German, at a University in Germany. (Michael has already satisfied his requirements for the bachelor's in Mathematics, and he plans to begin graduate work at UConn in the Fall.)
