Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

No.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1) Undergraduate Research Opportunities Seminar: a two-part seminar series designed to connect students with faculty mentors on research projects of mutual interest. Students give talks on current research collaboration with faculty, while faculty give talks on new projects in which they seek student involvement.

2) Guest lectures; topic varies depending on student interests.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

1) Several students received UMBC Undergraduate Research Awards2) Putnam team ranked 42nd, with current member Thomas Occhipinti receving the top score of 40.
