Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Providence, Rhode Island?

Not sure yet.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

The Sixth Quadrennial Donut Coloring Contest wherein students compete to determine the chromaticnumber of a map on a torus using actual (large raised) donuts and different colors of frosting. Followed by consumption of the evidence.

27th annual regional undergraduate research conference, featuring 16 student speakers and Jennifer Quinn (Occidental College) and plenary speaker.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

New inductee Bob Willenbring will be attending graduate school in mathematics at Michigan State University. Bob was awarded one of the MAA student speakers awards at Mathfest 2004.

New inductee Trevor Kollman will be attending graduate school in economics at Arizona State University.
