Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

Possibly one of our new inductees, Bill Bade, will present a talk.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Many activities were organized to help bring together current members and other students interested in Mathematics.  Some of these events were Fall, Christmas, and Spring get togethers, discussions on REU programs and preparations for graduate school, and an awards ceremony for outstanding Calculus students and Putnam exam participants.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Two of our members attended the Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Conference at St. John's. Brian Skjerven gave a talk which described a model for brain tumor cell growth.

Also, two of our students have accepted graduate school positions. Michelle Clarke will be attending Carnegie Mellon University and Brian Skjerven will be attending Worcester Polytechnic.
