Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

Yes, Jenny Buontempo will present a paper on "The Twisted Torus and Knots".

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

We had a Charity Christmas Party for all Math Faculty, PME members and other students interested in Mathematics. In order to attend, one had to bring a toy which was given to a local children's charity organization for distribution.

We had 3 talks by John Paulos from Temple University; Alan Weiss from Lucent Technology and Katherine Herbert from Montclair State University.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Jenny Buontempo will be attending Graduate School in Mathematics. The school is still to be decided. She also presented papers at the MAA meeting in Atlanta and at the local Maa meeting.
