Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

We visited the New York Hall of Science in Flushing, New York.  There were many scientific and mathematical exhibits, some of which were hands-on.

Christian Hilaire, an undergraduate student, gave a talk, "The Calculus of Variations."
