Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

No.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

First, many of the Pi Mu Epsilon students learned about solving Rubik's Cube in their Abstract Algebra class, and so, they decided to sell Rubik's Cubes as a fundraiser for the society.  Having sold many cubes, they were able to hold several social events for their members.

Second, the honor society hosted a beginning of the year get-together for all majors, including the freshman.  Also inviting the faculty, their goal was to raise awareness of the mathematics community and encourage young math majors to get involved in the life of the department.  It was a great success!

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

12 members of of the chapter presented research projects at the 12th Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference.

Member Chloe Epstein presented a research paper at the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics in February.

Two members are going on to graduate studies in mathematics at Wesleyan University.
