Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Providence, Rhode Island?

No.

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Members attended a premier party for the television show Numb3rs at Dr. Christopher Swanson's house.

Members learned about the quirks and lives of their mathematics professors while playing Math Faculty Jeopardy during which each of the answers was the name of one of the faculty members on campus.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Two students presented talks at the 2004 Miami University Pi Mu Epsilon Student Conference. Six students presented talks at the 2005 Youngstown State University Pi Mu Epsilon Student Conference. Nine students presented talks at the 2005 Spring Meeting of the Ohio Section of MAA at Miami University. Jenise Smalley participated in the 2004 Brigham Young University Summer Math Institute and served as a counselor at the 2004 Summer Days Math and Science Camp for Girls in Maryland. Christine Truesdell will be participating in the 2005 Bringham Young University Research Experiences for Undergraduates program.
