Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

(1) Problem competition, new problem posted each week. First correct answer (by email) moves student up one rung on a ladder. Every third rung is a prize (gift certificate).

(2) Induction ceremony in April featured an alumni from class of '92 (Iem Heng). He talked about what he did since graduating, the different opportunities he had and why he made the choices he did. It was very interesting for the students.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :
