Grant Report:

We received a grant from the national PME organization to funda visit from David Sutherland, the national PME president-elect.The visit took place on Tuesday, November 8, 2005. During hisvisit Professor Sutherland gave a talk to our PME chapter,"Permutations and Tableaux: An Introduction to Algorithms in Combinatorics". He also met with the department administrationand with the PME officers, and gave us some suggestions ofactivities for our chapter.
