Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

The 2005-2006 year has been an active one for the N.J. Lambda chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon. In April, the annual Mathematics Awareness Week was held and several graduating seniors and members of Pi Mu Epsilon presented their senior talks. They highlight the mathematical talents which are being fostered in our department. Also during that week, fifteen new members were inducted into the chapter, including one faculty member.

Numerous other activities also took place during the year. Among them were several community service oriented projects. Plans for future are also being developed. As mentioned before, the year has been an active one for the N.J. Lambda chapter and we look forward to continuing excellence in mathematics.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Knoxville, Tennessee?
