Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Lecture: " Thinking Inside the Box: A Student Research Project" by Professor Graver Abstract: A careful look at even the simplest of problems can lead to very interesting questions. We will investigate some such problems and see how they can blossom into challenging research projects.

We also had a lecture done by Prof. McConnell on Gaming Probability and when a certain outcome is expected to occur.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Knoxville, Tennessee?
