Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Our chapter held two exciting social events this year. In the fall, an event called "Bowling for Primes" was held. Approximately, 12 members and a few guests went to the local bowling alley with hopes not to have the highest score but to have scores of prime numbers. This event was planned by our current president, Renee Zawistoski.

In the spring, an event was held for undergraduates that we called "Mathematical Games Contest." Our PME members served as game officals for the 14 competitors during single elimination games of Dots and Boxes, Mastermind and Hex. Prizes were given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. This event was organized by Department Chair, Jack Neuzil.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Knoxville, Tennessee?

Yes, Allen Cox plans to attend and present.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

No.
