Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Math Jeopardy - Faculty filled out questionnaires with questions such as "What is the title of your dissertaion?" and "What is the craziest thing you did in high school?" Their answers were clues for the Jeopardy-style game created by seniors, and students competed in teams of 3 for various baked goods.

Homecoming window decorating - Students painted windows of mathematics building with such classic poems as "2, 4, 6, 8, AU students can integrate" and various graphics. They won 2nd place for best window design.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Knoxville, Tennessee?

Jen Picucci plans to present a paper at MathFest.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Nine AU students gave presentations at the Spring Meeting of the Ohio Section of the MAA (4 were PME members).

Ryan Frase'06 and Christine Truesdell'06 will both be attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for graduate school. They both received teaching assistantships and Christine also received an additional scholarship.
