Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

Dr. Anand Pardhanani spoke about REU's and internships - the advantage of having one and how you can use them to change the future of mathematics, especially relating to minorities and women as mathematicians.

Dr. Therese Shelton spoke about modeling the spread of rumors at "Mouthwestern."

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Knoxville, Tennessee?

Unfortunately not this year.

Jacob Schrum has been accepted in the Computer Science Ph.D. program at the University of Texas at Austin.
