Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1. The highlight for AY 2009-10 was the installation of our new chapter on December 3, 2009. We were honored to have Professor Joan Weiss, the immediate Past President of Pi Mu Epsilon, officiate. (See installation photo at http://www.pme-math.org/chapters/newchapters20092010.html )

2. An alumnae panel, "My work and graduate studies since I graduated from Simmons, and the role mathematics has played in each," which took place on March 23, 2010. The six panelists represented a wide range of fields, including: chemical engineering, epidemiology, dentistry, financial services, computer science, and environmental science.
