Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
Ginormous Blokus tournament: we built a 20-foot by 20-foot Blokus game and held a tournament using it. Casino Night: actually a two-night event. One week, we showed "21," and the following week hosted a Casino Night with blackjack tables, roulette, a craps table, and poker. The refreshment room had a cycling PowerPoint presentation about odds and the mathematical history of gambling.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates, for example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences?
Christina Edholm, Hannah Jackson, Dominique Lomax, Leo Maloney, Chelsea McLennan, Jared Nishikawa, and Mathew Titus will all be attending graduate school, almost all in mathematics. Many of our students gave poster presentations and the Joint Meetings in San Francisco.
