Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Providence, Rhode Island?

1. We held a True/False math contest, Math Mayhem, for the third time. About fifteen students participated and four students divided $175 in prizes (thanks to the UNL Math Dept and the PME Matching Prize fund for providing the prize money).

2. We had a talk in the fall by Professor Mark Brittenham on Knots.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

5 members presented original research at Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference in April 2004.

Graduates have been accepted to various programs at UNC-Chapel Hill, Cornell University, University of Hawaii, and Ohio University.
